Updating applications - SAFE Sync

This article will detail how to update both the SafeSync and SafeSync Drive applications. This is a manual process and you will need to be on the machine to update the applications, these updates can not be done from the online portal.

SafeSync

Please right click on the Shield Icon in the system tray and click on settings.



This will open up the SafeSync's settings. From here, please click on "Help".

After that, click on "Check For New Version". This will check to see if there is an update for the client.

When it detects an update, it will proceed to open up the download link in your preferred web browser. Please run the download and proceed to the next step.


It will then ask for you to close the current SafeSync client down. Please do that and proceed with the setup process. Once installed, it will ask for a restart. 


SafeSync Drive

To update SafeSync Drive, you will need to open up the interface for SafeSync Drive by double clicking on the icon in the system tray.



From there it should open up with the Drive application, you will then need to click on the "Need help?" link in the bottom right hand corner of the application and click on "Check for Update". 


After that a window should pop up if there is an update available, please click on "Yes" and then proceed to download and install the latest version.
