Setting up a QNAP NAS Backup - SAFE Backup

QNAP NAS Cloud Backup

If you would like to know which QNAP boxes are supported please follow this link.

You should have received a download link sent to the email you created the account under, but if you do not have access to the email you can login here and you will be redirected towards the server the account is on, downloads can be found via the blue button to the right.

You will then be on the download page. Ensure you are on the “SDSL Business Client Backup” tab.

Scroll down and you will see the option to download the QNAP client.

Login to the QNAP and click on App Centre.

Next, click on the Cog icon in the top right hand corner. This will allow you to install the file you have received.

From here you will get an installation wizard. Click “Browse” to navigate to the file you have just downloaded, double click on the file to select it, then press “install” to install the file.

When this has installed you will see the SDSL Cloud Backup client on the main menu of the QNAP.

Open this up and select “login”. Login with the account credentials you set for the account.

From here you can create a backup set, a guide on doing this can be found here.
