How to Run a Manual Backup

How to Run a Manual Backup - SAFE Backup

After making changes to a document, or doing some troubleshooting on the Backup Client software you may want to run a manual backup.

You can do this by logging into the backup client and selecting "Backup".

You will then need to select the backup set that you wish to run the manual backup on.

You can edit some options in "Advanced options" in the next page you see after selecting the set.

In-file delta type
If you want to only backup the changes in the documents then select "incremental". If you have run an incremental backup for a few days and would like to combine those then please select "differential". To backup all files select "full".

Destination
From here you can run a manual backup to a local destination.

Retention policy
You can run a backup and enforce the retention policy so if there are any files which are older than your retention policy allows these will be removed. For how to view your current retention policy please click here.

Once you are read to run the manual backup please select "Backup" on the bottom right of the window.

Once completed you can view the backup report by selecting the icon to the right of the progress bar. For how to view reports for past backups please click here.
