How to Reset your Password

How to Reset your Password - SAFE Backup

If you do not know what your current password is and wish to change it please contact us. We will set one for you and direct you to login and use the below guide to reset the password to something more secure. The login password is usually set the same as the encryption key, if this is the case with your backup you should view the encryption key before resetting your password to ensure they are set the same this time, for a guide on this please use this support article.

PLEASE NOTE: changing or resetting your password does not change your encryption key.

Login to the backup client and navigate to your user profile, which can be found at the top to the right.

Select "Password" on the left hand side and then "Change password" on the window to the right.

You will then be asked to confirm your current password before you can go ahead.

You will then need to enter twice what you would like to reset your password to.

Press "ok" bottom right, then "save" bottom right when completed.
