When data loss strikes, nothing is better than a quick restore. Safe C2C users, with proper permissions, can run a complete MS Exchange recovery with just a few clicks. Restore the entire user account- notes, emails, tasks, contacts, and calendar.
Opening the Settings screen
- Log in to Safe C2C.
- On the Homepage, click the Exchange Backup you want to restore.
- Locate the user account you want to restore and click the Recovery icon in the Actions column.
- On the next screen, click the Full Mailbox Recovery tile, check the option next to Restore, and then click Next.

Choosing a date
The next step is to choose the backup you want to restore:
- To select the last successful backup, choose the first option and then click Next.
- To choose a specific date, click the second option. Click the blank field, select a date on the calendar with at least one green dot, and click Next.

Green dots
One green dot on the calendar indicates a successful backup on that day.
- Two green dots indicate multiple backups. Safe C2C shows all those backups on the screen. Click one.

Orange dots
An orange dot indicates the backup on that day was partially successful.

Partial success means one or more Exchange sub-services (i.e. notes, emails, tasks, contacts, or calendar) failed to back up properly.
If you choose to restore a user account with a partially successful backup, Safe C2C:
- restores the sub-services that were successfully backed up on this date, and then
- updates the other sub-services from the most recent successful backup
Selecting sub-services
The next step is to select which sub-services to restore. The default setting is all sub-services.
- Click a toggle to the OFF position to remove a sub-service and then click Next to continue.
![blobid6.png](https://support.cloudally.com/hc/article_attachments/4406511079698/blobid6.png)
The default setting is to restore the backup on the original account.
- If you want to restore to a different account, click the option and select an account.

Review
Review the information on the Confirmation screen. If the information is correct, click the Restore button to start the task.
- If the information is not correct, click Cancel or Back.

After the restore task completes, Safe C2C emails a confirmation report.
