Our new Cloud to Cloud backup solution is perfect for backing up your cloud solutions to our cloud storage. We can backup numerous products, including SharePoint, G Suite/Google Workspace, Dropbox, Office365 Exchange, Salesforce and many more.
For this guide, we will be focusing on how to backup Google Workspace
Log into your C2C portal. Once on the main page, select “Add
Backup Task” on the right.
Below are the option you will have for backups, in this
example we are selecting Google workspace
You will have to select “Sign in with Google”. You will be
directed to a Google Sign In page – enter your login credentials and press “confirm”.
You will be redirected to the backup settings page where you can adjust the settings of the backup.
1. You can change the name of the backup task by clicking on this option.
2. This saying “connected” shows this was able to connect to the specified account.
3. “Index all data for Search” is selected by default, this allows SAFE C2C to provide you with a granular search and restore functionality. During this process the data is temporarily decrypted for a brief period of time, then re-encrypted once the index is built. If this goes against your company policy and you would like to disable automatic indexing, please contact us on support@safedatastorage.co.uk.
4. The Automatically activate new users option instructs the system to detect new users, and activate them automatically.
5. Backups are automatically archived when an entire site is deleted. The Retain auto-archived backups option allows you to retain them for a specified number of days, after which they will be deleted. Otherwise, the backups will be retained indefinitely.
6. Please note, you will be unable to edit these options.
7. These can be changed to meet your needs via the drop down options.
Once happy please press “Save”
Once configured you will need to activate your backups, scroll down and you will see the users, select them via the tick box, the “Activate” button to the right will be clickable, from here you can select “Activate”. As you can see, you can also “Backup Now” from here if you don’t want to wait for the next schedule.
